The Vendetta arrived. I set it up in a campground near my home, so I can slowly move into it. The big problem is, you can only take so much into an RV due to weight and storage space limitations, so I ma being forced to choose the 1/2 of 1% of my STUFF that will come along, and the rest of it will be sold, or given away, or tossed, etc.
I am making changes to the interior. I have removed three of the NINE recliners that came with the toy hauler, and replaced them with a computer work station.
The desk is on linear actuators, and it is height adjustable from a sitting position to a standing position, or anywhere in between. I added a two-drawer file cabinet, a paper shredder, and more.
I also added a VITRAZZA glass chair mat, because the five-wheel chair was having difficulty traversing the slide joint on the floor. So I jus topped the joint with the glass mat and now it is smooth as well … GLASS!
I also tore out the factory “RV King” mattress. I know … The manufacturers caved to chest pounding, and being able to boast about a “King” bed in the bedroom, but quite frankly, it made it nearly impossible for an old guy with a bad back to change the sheets, etc. Also the W-I-D-E mattress was visually impressive, but it left no space to walk around the bed.
So I searched for a Split Queen bed to replace it. I found my bed in te LEVASLEEP Split Queen adjustable, which gives me a mattress about three times as thick as the factory pad, and it is ADJUSTABLE! It also comes with a three-level massage for the head and feet (separately) AND making the bed is now as easy as sliding out either half of the bed to fit the sheets and mattress protector, etc.
I slept on it for the first time last night (9/11) and it is VERY comfortable. It has a remote, under-bed lighting for night time, and it is a bit shorter than the RV King, so I have more floor space at the foot end of the bed.
